"Kim Kelly Is My Friend" is the fourth episode of "Freaks and Geeks." It was written by Mike White and directed by Lesli Linka Glatter. It was recorded in November of 1999 and released in January of 2000. It depicts Kelly's family home.

In the episode,  Sam is bullied by Karen Scarfoli (Lindsay's former friend) after he confuses his locker with Karen's. Neal and Sam argue about which of them is more geek . Lindsay is invited over to Kim's house for dinner. Kim and her parents fight about Kim's car..

PlotEdit

Lindsay is fed up with the way Kim treats her. Kim tries to make it up to her, inviting her for family dinner. Kim tells her she needed to bring home someone better then rest of her friends to prove her parents she isn't a loser. Family dinner turns into massive fight causing girls to run away. They go to different neighbourhood to talk to Daniel. They see him 'goofying' with Karen. Kim gets mad and tries to run them over. They go to Lindsay's house. In the driveway Kim says Lindsay is her only friend and that her life sucks. They have dinner at Weir's house. Suddenlu, Nick knocks on the door, saying that Daniel is here and wants to talk to Kim. She says she will never talk to Daniel again and runs to Sam's room. Sam tells her to go away - he's mad at Kim because of what her friend, Karen, did. Kim says they're not friends anymore and promises Sam she'll 'break her hands'. Daniel enters the house through kitchen door. The couple finally makes up. Leaving, Kim proposes they will have a dinner together the next day and hang out.
